This is not the current livery. The crane is wrong, lufthansa.com titles are in the wrong place, no bird over the front door etc.

Yes, this has nothing to do with LH's current livery, but you've created a very nice fantasy scheme.. You're really improving with your shades, keep it up! May i give you an advice? - The contrast of your white details are too hard on the belly and on the tail.. Try to use a darker grey for your details on the belly and a darker, almost black color for the lines on the tail and a darker orange/ ochre for the parts of the tail-logo details, you'll see that your details will look way more realistic! May you do a LH 731 for me in the current scheme with a brighter grey on the belly and the engines?

Sad that i never had the chance to fly on a 737-100, it's the only 737 type that i missed flying on, but i guess from -200 to -900 is not that bad...
I guess the only 731s that are still flying are operated by NASA or have they been retired, too?

LH Was The Launch Customer For The Type, And Purchased 30. Though They Filled The Seats To Capacity, They Lost Money With Them. They Wanted More Seating Capacity And Better Operating Costs, So Set The Stage For The 737-200.
L-1011-Heavy Flew On An LH 737-100 From Frankfurt To London When He Was Just 5.

I know. I failed to find the current Lufthansa logo on the tail so decided to slightly modify it. Failed to edit the post, though.

I'll try to do it. If I can find the right logo, though.
Also, the 731's with NASA is retired too, AFAIK.

The logo shouldn't be a problem, you can use the one below..

What about this? The name and registration is from a real Lufthansa 731.

Thanks for the logo, also found it in a google search!

Ced, i love how your new 731 came out! It looks so much better with your new blended contrast, don't you think? The tail looks awesome with your shading..
There are only very small details that would make it perfect..
- the Lufthansa name would look closer if the font would be bold
- the nose logo needs to be smaller
- 731 and Coburg in blue and needs to align with the front door -> it needs to be higher
- underwing, just gery, no coroguard under the wing
- H-stabs need to be white, not grey
- Reg D-ABEA and the .com titles need to sit on a line with the last window..

Otherwise it's perfect! Very well done!

You have improved a lot from your fist to your last 731 rendering, so now you can take my bow for the fact that you are only 12 years old! Very impressive! I'm looking forward to your new projects!

Thanks! My next one's gonna be a Boeing 747-200 in current colors!

About the only thing that could make this any better is if you were able to clean of those pixelated lines between the tail and fuselage and the leading edge. These renderings have come a long way since you first started.

Hey, nice pictures. I think, the tail is still a little too dark, though.

Try one of these fonts for the titles: http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...2-din-1451.zip

I attached that to a post in a different thread some month ago. The font "DIN 1451 Mittelschrift" is the right one to use with Lufti's aircraft. If you want to use a font, that's tighter, use "DIN 1451 Engschrift"....

EDIT:

I TAKE THAT BACK! They use "Helvetica"

I'll be trying to do that after I master Gimp.

I just wrote it into the box, where you can choose the font style in word (2010)....

If that doesn't work, there you go: Font Download - Thousands of Fonts!

The thing is, that the letters are very close together, that what's important - bold and together..

Anyway, Dylan is correct with the tail - to be niggling - the first line on the nose is still white, i would change the rudder detail on the tail to a drak grey, too.. Star Alliance letters under the logo missing, details on the belly are never red on LH 737 except the one on the nose and on landing gear which isn't visible here.. All LH 737 have at least the last window blind due to interior.. Lufthansa titles and 731/Coburg titles need to align with the first window..

THIS BOY IS 12 YEARS OLD! Considered that fact, he did an awesome rendering and i want to thank you Ced that you are open to every criticizm and try to improve on every rendering! If i look at my Revell 1:144 models i did when i was 12, especially my LH 747-200, your job and attention for details is superb. We detail-fanatics should consider that...

very cool! Coburg is my hometown in Germany. I had a chance to fly on Lufthansa's A321 in this namesake many years back but did not know it was also on a 737-100 way back when.

Nice Job!
