WOW! All of them look great Carlos! If AA wants to change liveries they should consult you first.

Fantastic idea of a livery. Much better than the ridiculous one, they are currently using.

Here is a "tweaked" version of the AA livery.

I moved the stripes to the bottom and the background instead of chrome is metallic. I also figured while I was at it I'd make the titles a bit more bolder and modern. I figured with the trends of AF,QF all you need is a few "tweaks" to make a classic image look a bit more modern.

I use MS paint so for me to copy and paste another eagle would not have made the mod look good. I figured I would try the best I can to make a eagle out of the letter "X", you can see it somewhat, I will try to edit it a bit.

I agree. Its nice to see some airlines that didn't change their livery over the course of the years. Its a nice repaint that you made though.

I personally don't care what American does to their livery. Their livery's not bad now, but I'm getting bored of it. I look forward to a livery change for AA in a few years. Out with the old, in with the new.

Btw love the Eagle!

I prefer Delta's new scheme to their widget personally. It's too dated.

Good for Fantasyland, not good for real life.

I like the American scheme as it is. It says "American Airlines."

No.
This Does Not Look Like An American Design. And I Don't Necessarily Mean American Airlines Only. I Mean Artistically And Culturally.
It Looks Too Ethnic. Perhaps Asian Or Hispanic Style Of Schemes, But Not Representative Of North American Design Or Culture.
If American Airlines Went With This, They's Lose Their Identity As Delta Did.

I think this livery would make America proud! It symbolises the ever-changing, modernizing and colourful America yet keeping the eagle and the stripes to look back at the country's history and heritage! Its a livery for America, if this livery were to be used, it would recognize America as its airline and it would be a plane spotters dream! Much like Virgin Atliantic and Jet Airways!!

I agree, and I'm glad to see that American is still using their famous iconic livery that has been used forever. Life just wouldn't be the same if it were to change.

I loved the old Delta widget livery. I stopped collecting models in the newer Delta schemes for being so bland and identity-less.

It seems like most liveries have gotten uglier or less distinguished with time, like BA, SAA, Thai (which is debatable), Delta, Aeromexico, etc...

United is definitely one that has improved, the old livery was atrocious...

In other words this is Way too Creative, Imaginative, Complexed and for AA to come up with.

I agree, I think they will ALWAYS Stick with that somewhat dull but shiney 3-Stripe livery.

I meant the 80s livery. The battleship is OK. United has never really had a livery that didn't seem like a bad combination of colors, or seem cheap looking.

Yup, airlines all over the world are getting dull. Even Colombia has lost its touch(AeroRepublica,etc.).

That's moving from one genre to another, the American Airlines livery moving into this one would be a crap livery into a really good one. The current livery is absolutely tasteless, similar to the country's trains (Amtrak).

Well, its tasteless in your opinion. I personally like the Big Bold red American font, with the Red, White, and Blue Cheatline, and Chrome/Bare metal finish, shining in the sun. I'm sure many can agree that aviation wouldn't be the same without the livery, since its been around forever, and you can always count on seeing it the next day.

When I Was Younger, I Rather Hated The Livery, But It Did Grow On Me And Now I Really Appreciate The Simplicity And Elegance Of The Design. And It's Remarkable Against A Pitch Blue Sky.
No Collection Can Be Complete Without Them And In My Collection, It's The Most Abundant Airline At 52 Models. Though Not Necessarily My Favorite Scheme It's Too Important From An Iconic Point Of View Not To Have As Many As You Can.

However She's Extremely Talented, But You Would't Know It Watching Her Popular Videos.
Before She Was Lady Gaga Her Name Was Stefani Germanotta And Wrote Performed This Brilliant Piano Piece Live At NYU. Love The Counterpoints In Particular.

Lady Gaga Before She Became Famous
I love I'm not the only one who some what researched Lady Gaga through Youtube videos! That particular one is the one I always show to people who think she can't sing, and is pure paparazzi toy. She is actually quite an interesting person and I kind of respect what she does. Even though she's certainly messed up!

Anyway back to American

I think when I was younger I actually really loved this livery. Same with United's orange stripes. It's great for nostalgia, however I can't see American keeping the livery forever, seeing planes they will order won't have the capability to do bare metal and silver paint is just not as effective.

American Had That Basic Design For Almost 50 Years. I Can't See Thyem Changing It Anytime Soon. And If They Do, It Won't Be Flambouyant Like This
Fantasy Rendition.

Obviously not, American has always tried more of a professional and luxury image, hence the "Luxury Liner" titles. I'd say in about ten years we'll see some kind of livery revamp that will still serve the same purpose, and of course, it will also be just as "American" as the current one.

I don't think Delta has lost it's Identity. Livery has slowly grown on me, and looking back through the history of the widget, the livery makes sense to me.

Never Thought Of U-Tube As A Source For Research. It Was An Article And An Interview With Larry King live That Got Me Interested.

You Need To Have lived Through The 70s And 80s To Understand It Really.
I Can't See Noobs Being Captivated By Those Older Liveries In The Same Way. Has More To Do With How Everything Was Back Then.
