I have a preference for boeing, although airbus has the lead in single aisle aircraft with the a320neo series air travel will most likely be long haul that will be the money maker, look at emirates, and my money it's on boeing

I would fill a gap in a market that is neglected by the other airframer.

The A 321 neo Extended Range to replace the B 757 is a brilliant idea.

That said, on both sides of the Atlantic, engineers are very busy with their projects and something new that we don't already know is highly unlikely.

I would introduce the 797 , A boeing A380, I dont think its that difficult to give the 747 a little extra upper deck, As boeing invented a 3/4 built A380 over 30 years ago.

I wonder if Boeing ever considered a 757neo or is there isnt a suitable new "E" for the gross weight

If I was an entrepreneur,I would likely approach Boeing first. Really like the B737's on the way.

i would give a few extra meters of length to the fuselage of the B777-9X concept to be a better replacement for the 748 aswell and not only the 742/4....

This thread title just reminded me of a Simpsons episode where Homer was approached by a car manufacturer to design a car. His design included tail fins and a bubble top among other wild and crazy ideas! The car was a flop for the car company.

I would probably do for the plane manufacturer what Homer did for the car company! So I would probably opt for running ScareBus into the ground...

How 'bout a big billboard sign on top of the fuselage facing forward so you can see the airline logo as the airplane approaches the airport terminal...?

If I ran Boeing, I'd HAVE to bring back the 707s and 727s and revive the 2707 SST project!

ScareBus, right ?
The question was: You would run Airbus OR Boeing ?
To which you did not answer.
Obviously, you'd run both companies to the ground.
Btw I love the Simpsons series.

My answer to the original question is that i would run whoever pays me the better salary, be it Airbus or Boeing.

I believe that is the gist of what I posted

Don't EVER let 'em tell you that you're not quick to catch on!

You mentionned Scarebus, you said you'd run it to the ground, but you spared Boeing, so yes i caught on for sure.

I let you the benefit of the doubt, but since you added your little side note, no, it was not the gist of what you posted, and you know it was not.

So i repeat, you are not qualified to run either one of the two, but if i refer to your previous posts, you might make it as a aircraft boneyard supervisor.

I would love to introduce or better, fly in one of the new 777-8 or 9 & also the 737max & A320neo...

I also don't care much for the A350 & I'm a little afraid to fly in the 787...

Hmmmm... Maybe I was wrong about you after all.

I said if I headed-up Boeing, I would bring back the 707, 727 and resume the 2707 SST. I believe the combined effect of the three programs would be a CFIT for Boeing. That was the implication.

The fact that you missed this point leads me to doubt your qualifications to run your mouth.

As much as I like the 707, that will never happen.

However, seeing that the 757 was way ahead of its time and even now an A321neo can not duplicate its performance, I would like to see the 797 as an advanced 757.

Boeing was stupid ending the line too soon. They would be way on top now if the 757 was still able to be MAXed.

Boeing, 777 and 787 are very strong future planes for them, i would also ask the engineers to run the 747 on 2 engines and adapt the 787 technology, weight etc into the 767/757

I think I'll go for boeing, with the 747, I think you can do many things with it, and I love the dreamliner
