Hi, I just tried to send a PM re a model for sale. I attempted it twice, but neither message was sent. Please help me.

Hi there,

Give this a try:

User Cp > Edit Options (on the left side) > Private Messaging

Under that, it should say:
"When sending private messages the forum can make a copy of the message in your Sent Items folder.
Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default"

Check the box and you should be able to see it in your sent box.

I feel like I'm losing (or already lost) my mind. I made the change you suggested right after you told me about it. A little while ago I sent two PMs to Habu968, and neither one show up in my sent folder. Then, about 5 minutes ago I sent a PM to 707boeing, and it showed up right away. Why aren't the PMs I sent to Habu showing up?

Ok, this is very odd. Habu968 replied to my PMs, but it doesn't show up where it says "Private Messages: Unread..." just under where it says "Welcome, 1011Tristar". And, when I looked at my PM Inbox it isn't showing up, even after I refreshed. I only saw his response when I went to his profile and looked at visitor messages. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need more caffiene?

I think you are confusing the Visitor Messages and PM's. They are 2 separate systems, one private, the other public.

Hey Admin, I have a private message notification, but there is no message in my inbox. I have sent and received plenty of PM's but this is the first time I cannot find a new message in my inbox, let alone open it.

Any hints Admin?
