Strange,

Going to see if I can commence a rebuild and get this fixed.
Please give it a while for it to kick in.

Urgent!!!!
Need Admin´s help!!!

Dear Ed, as DAC resizing software has apparently still some issues - see this printscreen:

as an emergency measure I ask you to manually replace this extra extra large picture:

for this one:

Some guys have problems with viewing this post and editing button has gone already, so I can do nothing on my side now.

Thanks for quick action.

Hello there,

Just clarify, are you running on any extensions?
I tested this on my end on Chrome and had no issues.
I am able to see the image resized.

Its bit of mysterious mystery - I personally don´t have any single problem with resizing, it works flawlessly for me on all my machines. But DA.C member Blues Boy has steady problems with huge images on his ipad (... if I remember correctly), also robertjon5 reported some problems.

The printscreen I posted is actually BB´s printscreen. As for me, I was asking you just to manually exchange this extra extra extra large image: https://hobbymastercollector.com/files/HA6303-01.jpg
in my thred: https://www.diecastaircraftforum.com...g-peshkov.html

for this smaller one:
https://i.ibb.co/GR9TmHJ/HA6303-01.jpg

So besides solving resizing problem with guys who report problems with resizing, can you please manually exchange those two images?

Or maybe you can manually open my thread for me and I will exchange both images by myself?

Thank you
L.

Many thanks, Kevin.

Resizing working or not, I´ll better not be posting such a huge images from now on, just to be sure.

Sounds good. And from what we can tell right now, the resizer is getting blocked by some adblockers. So it's working, but those extra plugins are stopping the script

Dang, bringing this back up.

I’m having to scroll left to right and back again in order to read posts that include large pictures. There is no auto sizing and yellow expand bars.

I’m I the only one here? Is there a Profile setting that I can adjust for my user account?

Thanks in advance!!

Edit: Sorry, using iPhone XS, OS13

^^ Well, isn’t that exciting! Thanks for the insight. I’m having a fun time with iPhone Safari not loading as well. The little blue load bar races across the top of the webpage very quickly and then the whole screen just turns white. I’m using chrome to view the forum these days, and it’s not optimal.

Having a terrible time of it here if anyone’s out there that can give me some guidance.

Please click on this DAC thread. Just an example, scroll down to Post #39. For me, it has photos that are HUMUNGUS. I don’t want to see that anymore. It’s ricidulous.

I have upgraded to an iPhone 12, and I’m noticing that NO pictures now appear too large for endless scrolling sideways to see. The images are auto re-sizing to fit to the screen.

Admins, please help.

Yesterday my Chrome completely crashed due to profile error. I had to run Chrome completely from new, but now the DAC picture resizing doesn´t work for me - all huge pictures remain huge.

1. Where can be the problem?
2. There´s a User Control Panel / Edit Options / Image Resize setting. How everything should be set here?

Resized image resolution (width) 1000 - 1280 would be perfectly Ok for me.

Thanks.

Can you link an example image that isn't resizing for you?

Do you use any extra plugins with your Chrome Browser? Such as a Adblocker, or tracking blocker?

Thanks for reply, Kevin.
So I´ve made some printscreen with a huge picture, downloaded it to imgbb.com, created a link, wrote my reply including adblockers I use, added some more details and when everything was ready and my mouse cursor was already on "Submit Reply" button ....... and in the very last moment I asked myself: why are you asking me about adblockers? And yes, it only needed to disable my AdBlocker Ultimate on DA.C site and everything works perfect now!

So thank you, problem solved by disabling my adblocker.
Ladia

P.S.
Just maybe came up to my mind if this advice is sufficiently published somewhere on the forum to be easily accessible to DA.C members/visitors ? ......

TEST

I have a problem with Photobucket coming out large on here. yet Flickr comes out normal size.

yet picture size settings are BOTH the same. yet all other forums they come out same size!

with pop up blocker off. still same.

so will have to use IMAGE THUMB for PB here.

same result with 3 different browsers. IE11. CHROME. AVG.

Hey there,

I'm not sure why photobucket is posting the image at such a large size.
It seems to work fine using other photo sites, like imgbb.com or others.

I will ask around about this issue to see if I can find any answers for you.

Thank you,

~Richard.

found this info.

How Do I Adjust My Hosted Image Size?
Your HTML links are set to a default size of 1920 for the width and 1080 for the height.

If your images appear larger when you link them to sites outside of Photobucket, you can easily change this by altering the width and height of the linked images when using the HTML Code option.

To do this,

Copy your HTML link and paste it on a notepad.
Look at your HTML link and find the part that says "width=1920&height=1080".
Double-click on the number part and type in the size you’d like for your image. The higher the number, the bigger the size.

problem is cannot copy the link in first place. had to change top picture manually.

so no idea yet if you manage to change the size, how do you save it??? atm you have to change them individually when you post.

this is an image thumb.

IMG_20210223_110126

having said above, other forums come out normal size when posted. except here.
