Has anyone noticed the similarity of the flyer on post 14 to that of the Aeroclassics on the AC April releases thread post 22?

Well I purchased one, TWA's N81026. Lovely looking heavy model, great paint-work and printing. Dissapointingly though the ****-pit windows are still not quite Tristar sized enough for me. Hopefully things will improve.

Yes, hoping the cockpit windows grow by the time the widgets and twin stripes roll out!

I'm not overly pleased with my copy of the Air Lanka. The mould is pretty good. (NG's looks better) The paint on the tail isn't awesome and it came with a pretty big wing gap. From about 4 feet away its pretty good. But I like to take close up photos of my models and that's where the problems reveal themselves and that takes away from my satisfaction with them.

Mine arrived in kit form, thanks to the postal service - looks like those tailcones might need a bit more glue at the factory though. Agreed that the cockpit printing needs a little more work to really capture the look.

Still, these are definitely a significant improvement over the BlueBox, and since someone also snatched up my BlueBox Twin Globe for my Buy It Now price on Ebay, I'm happy.

I wouldn't worry about such remarks Andrew.
Ok constructive criticism and fair assessment is always going to happen in this hobby, but people slating Aero Classics like this make more of a fool of themselves if anything. Perfection is very hard to achieve.

People justifiably generally just ignore such remarks as those made.

Well I have just returned from the Heathrow Aviation Fair with the TWA TriStar and only real critcism is the size and position of the cockpit window. Disappointed that ARD had only received the TWA TriStars, so no Air Canada and no Aeroclassics yet for this month.
Looking at these pics of the Air Canada Tristar, the red on the tail appears to be a darker shade than the window cheatline red?

I'm reminded of this every time AK takes off on an angry rant. I'm sure the nursing home will have him back in his room by nightfall.
