Where are you located? JetCollector still has the PAL A321.

Was able to grab it at said retailer. I’m just pointing out that it was said it was going to be listed sometime that evening yet when I looked at their site at that moment it was already there. Both items sold out.

My last US shipment of three models was treated with a 50 euro customs fee to be paid. So I was waiting for the Surninam DC8s to be announced by European retailers. Which happened earlier this week.

Yet, at a selling price of 57 euro per model - shipping not yet included - I decided not to buy... I think a line has been passed here for me. Serious money for these little beauties.

I was already down to approx fifteen models per year, but that number decreases even further. Collection will top off at 2000 models in 1/400

Quite agree! The price hikes are just getting too much for models I can live without.

Sounds like you need to talk to your governments about their customs fees. These models aren't cheap but the customs fees are not their doing.

Blame high shipping fees, caused by China Coronavirus, high labor costs, caused by China forcing the companies to compensate workers for their China Coronavirus lockdown, where in a normal country, the government does that, and blame higher tariffs and import fees, caused by countries trying to punish "Made in China" goods, as a way of getting even with China for screwing up the world with their laboratory made virus which has crippled the entire world in 2020.

Totally agree (and the virus theory). Not just limited to diecast aeroplanes.
But we are are hitting £50 for a 1/400 £100 - £200 1/200
This is combined with sellers on ebay, China, USA EU/UK that are putting extortionate prices on their products
Custom Fees should be taken into account when ordering.

Changed world.

I am getting very selective at what I buy now unless its aircraft related vehicles which are still £10-£50.

I wouldn't trust a single word to come out of US or UK Governments to be honest, and I don't think the majority of people do. I wouldn't trust them and less than the Chinese regime. Recent history tells us that no one should be trusted. And I am no wishy-washy Liberal, so I am not really bothered, but for me they are all as bad as each other. Can fully understand why Americans like Trump, he would **** on anyone including the UK, if it served in American interests. Meanwhile we will continue to be the bowing, weak, lap-dog and everyone knows that too.

Either way, anything costing me over £40 (and that is 90% of models in 1/400), makes me think twice, and I am now being far more picky in what I buy. Can only see this pattern increasing as costs unfortunately have to increase.

I am super-happy with my Aeroclassics additions from August. They all turned out really well and Federal Express and Air New England should be featuring in the avhistory blog in coming months. Great work yet again from AC. Apparently I got the last TAESA 727 from the site too:
