well guys at long last I finally got round to displaying my phantom + V bomber collection and taking pics! had a custom made cabinet done so I can finally display them all! :| :| :| measures 165cm tall. 137cm wide. and 30cm deep! ENJOY!!
V BOMBERS 1/72. 3 CAMO VULCANS. MIDDLE ONE HAS ADDED LIGHTS.
1/72 HOBBYMASTER/GEMINI PHANTOMS. AND A FEW 1/72 WW2 KITS.
AND SOME MORE PICS.
As you see there is a slight bow in the shelves as they are so long. but I will be putting some 3 inch spacers behind the models to keep them straight. plus also adding 3 more shelves above my laptop. so I can fit 12 more 1/72 phantoms. or more 1/48s or something else etc.
BIG thanks guys. as you see i have one space left for a 1/32 phantom. just like the mystery as to why no spey phantoms have been produced for last 10 years or more, none have been produced in 1/32! HONG KONG MODELS announced a few years that they were going to do one. but STILL no sign. price? around ………………………………….£350!!! wtf? but earlier this year a guy who owns ICELAND FINE MODELS is also doing his own proper spey phantom at a lot more reasonable £195!
the RAF + BLACK MIKE ones above are actually TAMIYA F-4Js. had them done as said no proper 1/32 done yet. so will get one done as an ALCOCK + BROWN. may later on replace the CAMO one. some brave people on kit model forums have converted an f-4j to a proper FGR.
superb job. on another forum someone has added lights to their F-4J. And will see if I can get someone to build the A+B and add lights to it as he goes along. Won't be cheap, but if it looks as good as one below, then well worth it.
I already have a VULCAN that lights up. got it for a bargain £68 posted!!!!
I BUY WHAT I LIKE. AND LIKE WHAT I BUY!!!
