Question Newbie seeking knowledge

Good day all,

I am a brand new member of this forum. I have inherited a collection of diecast models of aircraft, tanks and a bunch of 1/6 figures. I know nothing (except that these are very neat). A lot of this is still in the box. I love having been left this collection and I wan to learn more about what I've got here. Should I have this collection insured? I have a lot to learn and appreciate any help you more knowledgeable members can share.

I can only give advise on the aircraft portion. are these models in their original boxes or are they loose unboxed? How many models are we talking about? It is a very broad description you gave.

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"
"you're the gourmet around here, Ed!"

Thank you for the reply CrownVic. Some of these are still in their boxes, some are loose but I think the boxes are there for those. I'm getting together a list as I search for the loosed items boxes. Among the still boxed are; a) Corgi 1/72 B-17 (Ye Olde Pub) & Bf109G (#AA39915), b) Corgi 1/72 JU87 B2 (#AA32517), c) 1/48 HM P-51B (#HA8503a), d) 1/72 Corgi Spitfire (#AA31934A). There are lots more. I am trying to get all of the ones not in their boxes re-boxed before I transport them anywhere. I am going to make a list of what I have here, but it is a good deal of planes, tanks & figures. ~ Bill Thomas
