Default My Latest Grey - RAF100 A400M

The newest arrival came yesterday, my RAF 100 A400M by Herpa. It's the second A400M in my collection and the second one to have arrived with a bent forward antenna. I wonder how these things are packed at source for both to have the same thing wrong with them? Fortunately as the antennae are metal, they are easily straightened without the fear of breaking. One of the props was also dislodged from the nacelle on the most recent acquisition. It's a tad disappointing that little details like that aren't picked up before these are shipped out to the paying customer.
Whining about PDI over, I do like my A400M's. Contemplating the A330 MRTT in the RAF100 livery next.

Very impressive! I love this aircraft and have seen it perform with immense agility at air shows! Living down on the south coast, I do on ocassion hear the odd Grizzly (Atlas) out of Brize flying overhead at cruising altitude. The drone/hum of those huge props can be very loud for such a high altitude and I compare this to the old propped Hercs that used to do the same thing! A lovely sound that if you've heard it before, you'll know what I'm talking about! Anyway, back to the model....lol.....what scale is this? Looks like 1/200?
Can't wait for GeminiMacs to do these in 400 scale.

Yes, the A400M's here are 1/200 scale.
I only get to see the real deal once a year, at RIAT. The attached is a bit of a cheat. It is Airbus' own A400M having the RAF 100 design added to the tail for the (Amazing) flying display. The RAF example was present in the static display. I guess the RAF don't like throwing their asset about as much as Airbus do, understandable of course
