Default Bitter sweet plane spotting yesterday

Took our dog walk later than usual due to rain here in L.A. When I was just about home, heard a jumbo coming from LAX. Looking up it was KL602.

Now for whatever reason that flight for the past few years usually turns left at the coast and rarely right, which puts the path over my way.

So the sweet thing was seeing The Flying Dutchman overhead, but the bitter part is 602 is no longer the Queen of the Skies--now Boeing 777-306ER.

Maybe they'll mix it up with the Dreamliner at some point.

Sorry no pity from me. Right now, LAX is the best spotting airport in the USA for widebody movements. The 747's going in and out of there on a daily basis is incredible!

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"
"you're the gourmet around here, Ed!"

Plenty of flights going to Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai et al. Those don’t interest me too much.

However there are some interesting B744 cargo flights now and then as well as the occasional B748 freighter.
