Default HM F/A-18 Super Hornet Block III

Howdy,
*(I don't think I am allowed to say this since I don't go to A&M)

HM will continue its love for the Hornet. Yesterday I found these early CAD models of HM's new Block III mold:

Correct me if I am wrong, but the only changes between this new mold and the original E/Fs is the addition of CFTs and the new "stealth" internal weapons storage pod right?

Respectfully,
Paul

Yep, super hornet is in the works. CTFs never looked good on zinc models though.

The actual HM tooling Is the F/A18 XT, which is different from the Block III.

For example the stealthy weapon pod is not part of the Block III upgrades.

The XT is a private BOEING venture and their is no certainty for XT orders. It’s not clear CFTs are part of the mix, although it’s likely they will be. So I’m not sure exactly what HM is aiming for?

Some CFTs have been quite popular and look rather good in Diecast. HM’s F16 for example and the upcoming Calibre Wings F16 will include a CFT equipped F16. Also HM F15E also have CFTs and they look rather good to me.

I can think of a long list of models that “deserve” to be made before this.
