I don't feel like jumping to another website. Just give us the short and simple.

Thank you for your reply.

During load testing on a static 777X test plane, one of the cargo doors exploded outward. Boeing is now reviewing the incident.

EDIT: New reports now state that only the load test on the 777X has been suspended.

Thanks. I didn't mean to seem callous; I was just super tired.

In this contex it might be interesting that the GEnx were recalled by GE themselves. (the picture somehow reminds me of the first retired A380s) I wonder if potential future customers will be affected by these trouble in deciding wether to get a 77X or not.

I don't think so. The purpose of testing an aircraft is to see if components fail. This will set the program back but the aircraft itself will be better. The 777x program will be succesfull, no doubt.

I completely agree Baerke. Boeing has learned their lesson with the Max. They will not be rushing the 777-X to market until they have perfected it. This is going to eventually be their flagship once the 747-8 has officially been retired. Once all of the orders have been filled.

The KC-46 program made headlines today as well. Loose cargo clamps. USAF restricts cargo and personnel flights on them till further notice.

So sad to see the Queen go..hope they still get orders for the cargo-8. Nothing beats the Jumbo in the cargo world

AFAIK, the freighter is still in production to fill orders. Thank the maker for that.

The Honorable Senator John McCain always had doubts about the cozy relationship between the U.S. Air Force and Boeing, and watch him spinning in his grave over this. Enough, Doug
