Default JC Wings Su-27 Eritrean Air Force

When this was announced I was thinking that this might be my first JC wings Su-27 because I really love this livery.

But if these photos are accurate it appears as though the colours are way off. What do you think?

I have a few of these. Not the best or the worst, but good value (from Hong Kong sellers). The colours are a bit 'bright', I like to imagine them as freshly painted examples. I also really liked the 'understated' Indonesian AF version. I'm waiting for them to be available from 'My Hobby House' in Malaysia. They are a good source of JC Wings models at reasonable prices.

Yeah, colors seem to be little bit brighter, but maybe not so much: (depends on quality and age of the photo and actual condition of the plane in that time.)

Are the colors correct enough for you? Well, this will finally depend solely on you.

But even with colors being kinda off, if you like the scheme and if you don´t mind overall shape of the JC wings/Witty´s Flanker´s nose, you still can ask yourself the additional question:
How would this particular Flanker look in my collection?

You know - sometimes, even with the first answer being No, second answer can be different.

Also, you can:
- wait for more photos from collectors
- if you still be hesitating, you can possibly consider waiting if you´ll find one for a cheaper price some day.

At least these are the steps I would do.

If the top base colour between the camo was very light grey instead of cream, this might of been worth getting, as it is now, it's a hard pass.

I am still on the fence on this one. Colors seem off. Maybe Later on down the road on their two seater Flanker they can try again by toning it down a bit. Would rather have this than the single seater personally.

Unless there´s a big criticism on colors (not likely), or poor sales because of wrong colors (which is not likely too), there will be hardly any change in coloring of eventual Eritrean two-seater, imho.

Remember HM is knowingly repeating their own mistakes or stupid warty F-35 surface only to be compliant with their previous releases.

I wonder if exposing diecast model to direct sunlight for some period of time would tone down the colors not causing damage to the model?

Depending on the popularity of this particular release, I wonder if we'll ever see a two seater done?

i'd say direct sunlight may fade the color on models I would think. Question is how long would it take and rotating the model 180 degrees on a bay window or window sill.
