Re: Hobby master f-14 vs others?

I never rate a model on how many bombs and missiles you can cram on its underside. Mostly I judge it on its mould and paint quality and refinement, scale, detail, authenticity and historical appeal....

Re: HM November 2019 Poster

Ok, so I missed that one. I saw the “RAF” and dismissed it as a Brit before even looking. Still, just another F-15, this one with inglorious “anniversary” lipstick on. I suppose if you must have it...

Re: Nurenberg 2019 - Herpa Convair B-58 Hustler 1/

Windows are way too small. Throws the scale completely off. And panel lines, as usual, are way too large.

Re: Japanese F-35A crashed. Who will find it first

Different perspectives? Certainly! Tragedy plus time = comedy? How do you figure that one? Was anybody laughing and making jokes about 911 days afterward? Weeks after? Months? To this day, after so...

Re: Japanese F-35A crashed. Who will find it first

Yes, clearly some think this is funny and fun. Easy to do when you’re surrounded by little toy airplanes with little plastic pilots that make a splash of cotton when they crash into a little plastic...

Re: Japanese F-35A crashed. Who will find it first

Unfortunately, the US lawmakers, with their giant heads buried deeply in their politicized ****s, don’t see the urgent need to beef up the military budget to the degree required for new technology to...

Re: What should be Hobby Masters next mould ?

I only mentioned Corgi because in my limited collecting experience I consider them to be the only possible competition for a 1/72 Apache. Not sure what the original point was but I’m glad HM made a...

Well, I didn’t know Corgi made any 1/72 Apaches. And I just today purchased the HM1202 from the Mule.

Re: Air Force 1 #00010 USMC Bell/ Boeing V-22B Osp

Can’t believe HM hasn’t done one of these. That drooping tail on the FOV is not too impressive. I wonder if it’s the mold or just a freak individual; and if it can be bent up.

Re: Hobbymaster "August 2019" announcements

I actually prefer less colorful—in the same way that I prefer a woman with tasteful makeup as opposed to one that looks like a clown with large lipstick and a red nose. Honk, honk! :D

Drats! Is anybody aware of a hogan USN P-3 from the 60s? One from the Cold War for which they were originally built?

Re: Best of Corgi's 1/72 bombers? (B17, Lanc, He 1

Yeah, I agree about displaying in flight... but only jets. With prop planes I prefer gear down, as it looks more realistic rather than a flying prop plane with propeller not spinning. ;)

Re: Best of Corgi's 1/72 bombers? (B17, Lanc, He 1

I only have the AA35313 B-25B “Hari Kari-er,” USS Hornet, Doolittle Raid. I like it a lot except that it’s rear heavy and teeters back on its butt when displayed gear down on the deck.
