Re: Show Your Latest 1:200 Purchase

Did you have the A388 prior? I got mine used about 4 years ago before prices started going nuts. The Gemini in the new livery is a nice model as well.

Re: AIR CANADA VANGUARD 1/50 scale.

Flew on BEA G-APEH LHR-GLA back in 1973. One and only Vanguard flight. I still have the safety card. Cool airplane.

Re: Nurenberg 2019 - Herpa Convair B-58 Hustler 1/

Cockpit windows look good. A very wicked bomber back in the day. IIRC the last of AF bombers with external engines?

Who manufactured BOAC G-AWNA B747-100

I believe Inflight did a 1:200, but can somebody tell me who did the 1:400. Mine has no manufacture markings--so that rules out Gemini for one.

Re: Lufthansa Bids Farewell To Its Last Airbus A38

That is truly a sad ending to an era. Ironically my fiancé got me a very nice framed picture of "New York", D-AIMH awhile back. The last one out of the room.

Re: NEW Fantasy Wings GSE - tow trucks

What are the differences between the two Lufthansa, besides the white. And are these colors actually in service.

I see the one with the B748, so I guess so.

Re: DLH Boeing 747-8i Retro Livery

Yep Lufthansa. Kind of funny that Gemini released B748 "Sachsen", in the new livery when only D-ABYA has it.

Hopefully she gets the new paint so the model becomes accurate.

DLH Boeing 747-8i Retro Livery

After many months of being grounded (with engines missing yet), she is back in the air.

Just flew over my house on its LAX-FRA flight today. A very nice sight to behold in these pandemic times.

Re: Theoretical DC-8-72

The -61 pylon went over the wing. The -71 did away with that. So it looks like you could use that to make a -62 which doesn't have pylons over the leading edge.
