Re: Gemini Jets 1/200 Releases

I consider KCK the worst possible choice, as KCK is the only one in KLM's fleet with the later style of flaps, and GJ's mold has the standard, shorter flap hinges.

Most MD-11's don't have flap...

Re: JC Wings McDonnell Dougas MD-11 House Colors (Polished with Logos) JC2MCD353

No. Only the MD-90 wore that scheme. Everything else is just fantasy artwork. It'd be like putting the 787 Dreamliner scheme on a 727---it may be an actual company house color scheme, but it was...

They also forgot MDC house colors are purple and gold, not red and gold. Titles and tail logo are wrong color. True, it's a reddish purple, but it should be purple, not red. Compare to the box's...

Re: TWA 747 Inflight

They still didn't correct the belly paint? (you can't have a "bare metal" wing-body-fairing on a 747, because it's not made of metal).

It's still just silver from nose to tail on the underside,...

Re: Photos-JCW-MD-11 N111MD House Color

That's nothing compared to the fact that the lettering should be purple, not red. Same as N211MD, N311MD, N287MD, N980DC, etc---all the 90's MDC house-jets wore purple, not red.

Re: Request for Aeroclassics: Three Continental 727's

#1 especially is needed, as it's the "full" red-ball scheme as more commonly seen on the DC-9-30 and 737-300. Many 727's were only partial-repaint hybrids. GJ's release wasn't even a "typical"...

Aw, so close yet so far---I've been wanting N818NW in NW colors for years (and on the superior AC mold to replace my GJ one), as it's the first/only A330 I've been on. Klein made 818NW, but made...

Re: GeminiJets KLM A310 and Olympic 737

Yup---this model would be one of the best 1/400 ever, if the blue was darker. But it's not even close, it's like "pepsi blue", when it should be "one or two steps away from black".

Re: United Airlines B747-122

Re: Ease / Difficulty in Modifying Engines on Existing Moulds??

Considering how incredibly common say, GE90's on 777-200's, or PW's on 744's are, yet they generally don't get proper molds for them----the 727QF is unlikely. Especially as it'd also need a new #2...

Re: Herpa Lufthansa Retro 747-8 Flaw?

Re: Why does PHX use different engine pylons on some of its 777s?

Re: Herpa VARIG B 707-400

As do I. It's quite critical to the mold. It has a curved fillet flap, that much is apparant. But that alone is not enough. (the AC 1/400 707-320/420 wing is like that, but still not right)

Very true--I see zinc rot in wings far more often than in fuselages. I have several wing-less models now, that could be "restored" by a new set of wings.
