Last time I was in Phoenix was 2011 and it was hot and dry as usual. Picked up some inexpensive models at the US Airways employee shop during their liquidation sale.

Re tail sitting...just thinking, anyway you could remove a wing and drill into the fuselage (if there is any hollow voids) within the wing socket to add weight and reattach...

The color differences are more realistic as real 1 to 1 when in service vary, unless you want that showroom look with your collection. To each their own, buy what you like and like what you buy!
