Re: Something weird going on with shipping fr Germ

I have the same problem the other way round. Ordered from the US and it took the USPS two weeks to even get the model on a plane from Atlanta. Weird!

Re: Restoring a Herpa Lufthansa Model Edition B744

How do you whiten up the model with salon cream? What brand do you use? Would it work with an assembled model? Sounds super interesting for all of us who have yellowed models.

Re: Regional Snapshots - What I Cannot Wait For

Regional airliners are way underrepresented in 1/400.

I would love to see Gemini/JC make a Saab 340 Crossair, an ATR 42-300 NFD and an ATR 42-500 in Air Tahiti's old colours.

Re: B747-212B Garuda Indonesia Airways Hybrid 9V-S

The windshield looks a bit odd, i.e. a tad too high. Other than that the model looks fantastic.

Re: Herpa releases 05/06 2021

BTW, D-ABYD lost its sat dome in the late 1970s so Herpa's drawing is accurate.

Re: Herpa releases 05/06 2021

Interesting detail, Alex. But may it be possible that the larger wheels were not installed on the early 747-200Bs? This picture of D-ABYD appears to show wheels similar in size to the 100:

Re: Herpa releases 05/06 2021

Unlike D-ABYG, D-ABYD, which will be released by Herpa, was delivered with only three windows on the upper deck.

It didn't have the plugged holes for an easy upgrade and the side panels were...

Re: Herpa releases 05/06 2021

The early Boeing 747-200Bs were better equipped for long distance flights, with a higher MTOW and improved engines if I'm not mistaken. From the outside you can hardly spot any differences compared...

Re: NG Model - 1:400 January 2021 "Hints"

I fully agree. Closing the old terrace was a terrible thing. The new terrace and the tour don't do this interesting airport justice. There were some intiatives to build a new terrace on Terminal 3...

Re: NG Model - 1:400 January 2021 "Hints"

NG Models should concentrate on classic releases again, like in the beginning.

Lockheed L-1011-500 LTU (polished belly!)
Boeing 757-200 LTS

are still missing.

Re: GJ200 vs IF200: Qantas 747

But Inflight's 747SP mould poorly reflects the typical shape of the SP fuselage below the v-stab.

Re: The NG South African 747SP release.

The NG Models 747SP will excel all other SP moulds, which are mediocre at best. That's crystal clear already.

As soon as Pan Am, Qantas, Luxair or TWA become available I'll jump on the bandwagon.

Re: NG Model - 1:400 November 2020 Missing Photogr

IMHO this model looks very nice.

I find no issue with the titles. And the shade of orange might be a tad too red but I wouldn't overinterpret NG's oversaturated photos.
