Re: What is a cure for yellow models?

Because "UV radiation damages the already unstable by-products of these reactions, reducing the obvious yellowing of white paint or decals... To a point."

Did you even read what you quoted me on?...

Re: What is a cure for yellow models?

Yellowing is caused by a reaction between the white paint or ink and whatever is touching it... Paint white on bare plastic, it goes yellow... Some clear coats will turn white paint yellow. Some...

Re: Where can I get a Blank 757 ?

I've never seen a blank one... You can strip the paint off a diecast model pretty easily with acetone... Be sure to primer the metal before painting.

Re: Need advice on Paint

Any white will do fine as long as it matches... Personally, I would use an acrylic. Also use a primer, otherwise the white will yellow over time. And be sure to clearcoat it.

Re: Protection for bare metal surface

It's not likely that your model is made from steel or iron or some other prone-to-rusting metal... It's probably zinc and/or aluminum, and I'm sure you know that neither rusts... they corrode slowly...
