Cool Re: Private Aircraft

I almost completely forgot about the MD-220! I stumbled into it in a Popular Mechanics magazine article sometime in the very early 1960's. Never heard about it again after that. Anyhow, there's a...

Cool Re: Has this beautiful 707 ever been released?

What a gorgeous livery. Especially when the gold accents 'pop' against that metallic anthracite-striped colour.

I think somebody (JCWings) did an L1011 in that livery an number of years...

Talking Re: New A 310

With all due respect, I'll be patient and take 'accurate' later, than 'sloppy' immediately. These things are getting pricey, man!

Re: Is this dirt under paint or something serious?

Zinc rot doesn't usually show up in brand-new models. It's something that develops over time. At least, that's been my experience. But then, just crappy paint jobs can show up later. In either case,...

Cool Re: Air France Concorde Fleet

Absolutely SPECTACULAR grouping and photos. If I was to do mine, I'd only be able to do the Mercedes-Benz logo. :D

Nothing looks as good as Concorde. Especially today.

Re: Aeroclassics DC-8 QC issue

In all fairness, it's kinda hard to see these 'live' in the shops that don't exist. All many of us have is dodgy, inconsistent photography.

Thumbs down Re: Aeroclassics DC-8 QC issue

Not anywhere as nasty as my little surprise.

I was dusting my AC200 CPA DC-8-43, and I noticed one of the engine & pylon assemblies was loose. A gentle wiggle confirmed it needed to be slid off,...

They don't seem to care. I sent them tonnes of reference to make one of their past efforts accurate, and it was met with 'in production next week'.

Well, I ended up passing. Frankly, I've decided...

Re: Photos: Gemini Air France 787-900

Yes, I remember hearing about that just when the 787 was starting to be delivered around and the A350 was being tested. Interesting that AF took on the 787 anyhow, even for a just a short time.

Nice photos and model Mr. Aviaction! Love the animé as well. Cool.

I really should snag one of these before it is too late. Herpa does a wicked job on them. Would look cool with my 3 AF ones.

Yes, I have to agree with everyone else here. All manufacturers release gems and duds, and some that are a blend of the two. We all have to make our personal decisions on what we can live with.

Yes—agreed. Be careful wth super glue. If you choose this route, use a slow-set type which is often a thicker version, and use sparingly—applying with a toothpick.

Safer is model airplane cement....

Cool Re: Gemini United 777-300ER super detail project

Re: JC 200 United 747 Blue Tulip Flaps Down
