well the material used would still be aluminium or steel so the colour would be the same as current die-cast.

And spares could easily be printed using the same printer as the one used to make the...

No paint work can be done using 3D printing that's a purely after manufacturing process, so I agree that would continue to be an issue.

As far as i know powder metallurgy can be used with 3D printing, and a quick google search will confirm this. Also additive manufacturing and 3d printing are one and the same additive manufacturing...

Over here in Australia these are extremely rare, the other day I found one under a pile of model tractors at my local for $120 needless to say I left immediately $120 out of pocket.

I have also been using make-up brushes. One large one for the big less detailed spaces and a smaller one for the more fiddly bits.

I would love a good rendition of this in 1/72 I know gemini have done one but the colours are off. Out of all the Mk. IX spitfires J-EJ is my favourite.

I think while this is a great improvement (which I was quick to judge as horrible) I think that the only thing that lets this down is the paint job. It seems like they have nailed the profile of this...

yes but while the A-10 has a massive 30mm gattling to offset the ugliness not to mention the awe and high regard of the A-10, the F-35 does not have many distinguishing features.

It seems like a sure fire hit the RAAF Canberra, at the Amberley heritage museum they have 4 Canberra's, beside the F-111 its probably one of the better known RAAF aircraft, not to mention the black...

Isn't a code 3 a repaint of an existing diecast? I'm certain epap does them all the time. In fact he is quite good at them, i envy the work he does.

I would say that there are still many 1/72 mustangs and thunderbolts to be had, that being said there are also a few griffon engined spitfires that I would love to see.
