Re: Would you give up your entire collection for t

Best way to tell the difference between the '53 and '54 (besides the engine) is the longer tailpipes on the '54. The short pipes on the first version sooted up the rear of the car, so they...

Re: Anything You Can Do Once A Model Starts To Rus

Might just be dirt, or the glue starting to disintegrate. These models will get zinc-rot, but no rust (except maybe the axles on the landing gear).

Re: 1:200 Aeroflot Tupolev Tu-154B-2 Herpa

I had to get it. I already had two M versions, a post-Soviet Aeroflot and an Interflug, but this is the only B2 version Soviet Aeroflot I've seen. It looks great with the other two.

Re: 1/200 WM UK Eastern Martin 404 arrived...and..

I flew on a Southern Airways 4-0-4 on an Atlanta-Athens GA run back in 1974, and I remember being confused by the plane. I thought it was a DC-3 at first, not paying attention to the tricycle gear. ...

Re: Seeing the L-1011 for the first time in person

I was fortunate to fly on one of Delta's newest L-1011s back in '74, and it still had the new plane smell...no overworked toilet odeur on that baby. One of the sweetest rides I ever had, but then I...

Re: Real or fake ? A380 t/off in Mauritius

I dunno. A lot of drone videos are poorly translated to You Tube, so the herky-jerky cars and aircraft movement can be attributed to crappy playback. I noticed the engine heat distortion behind the...

Re: Last commercial flight of the B 727

You have to admit, the Iranians are geniuses at keeping old airplanes flying without stocks of new parts. They've still got ancient fighters like the F-14s, F-4s and F-5s on patrol.

Re: Cloudbreak 1/200 B-45 kit

Probably the only model you'll ever see of the first all-jet American bomber. really unlikely that it'll be diecast 1/200, maybe some oddball size from Model Power or Altaya.
