The model announced is D-ABOB - the first 707 delivered to Lufthansa. It had the short vertical stabilizer and no ventral-fin.

Correct - all of the models from the "Lufthansa Modell Edition" were designed and manufactured in Germany at Herpa's headquarters in Dietenhofen/Bavaria.

The Caravelle looks OK to me - but I'm not an expert like Jean-Pierre. Unfortunately when I started plane-spotting in the late 1970s most major airlines were phasing them out or had already done so....

I do have some models from the current fleet - but mostly retro from the time-frame 1955-1985.





The 727s don't seem to be affected as much as some white 747s.
