Re: Exotic BAC One-Elevens MIA

Absolutely to which I would add European Air Charter and British World Airlines -500s, with which I made my last flights in a BAC1-11 as a passenger, between 1999 and 2001.

Anyone paint their model airport bases?

I found a piece of scrap (60cm x 51cm) MDF in my shed so I decided to make a small airport diorama with a bit of taxiway, some grass islands and a large section of concrete apron. Rather than use...

Re: Got my British Airways Negus Viscounts.

Meh, I have a "Landor" BAC1-11 with the silver engines. Bought it when I was first getting into this hobby.

That is a fine collection o' Negus you have there, Big Al.

Re: Adrian's London Heathrow 1960s-70s Airport model

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I have to join in the praise for this project, Adrian.

If I ever do an airport layout it would be this one - I had also thought of doing the SE corner of LHR,...

I don't recall seeing Virgin Viscounts, but I would have seen this one nearly every day when it was flying for BA in the '70s and '80s. I can hear the whistle of those RR Darts even now...

'Twould be nice to see a European Air Charter 1-11 as I flew on charters on G-AVMM and I'm quite sure G-AVMF too around '99-'01.
