Re: Code 3: Enhancing Panel Lines Plus Weathering

Thanks for sharing your weathering technique. I like that you used available household items & made your model come alive. I may give this a go instead of using a panel wash from my LHS.

Thanks for the Wolfpack pics TC. Very nice to see the side by side comparison with CW. The Calibre model definitely looks better with sharper details & tampo print. Even the tampo gun vents are...

Yep 00 is correct. CAG birds with this designation (X00) would be known as "double nuts".

Thanks for the additional pics TC. The glove vanes on yours are actually not too bad. May I ask where you purchased your model since you had pretty quick delivery?

Re: Caliber Wings (Actual photos)

I actually did just that. I emailed my distributor and even included pics of the wrong gun panel along with the jagged glove vane slots. I don't expect perfection, but I also want to keep wolverine...

Re: Calibre Wings F-14B Tomcat VF-103 Jolly Rogers, CA721401

So let me understand what is going on since I'm not the sharpest tool in the drawer:

SKF has Calibre models that were purchased from TFM or did he only get to photo them? Like others have...

Re: Caliber Wings (Actual photos)

Of all the mfg & QC issues on JR(wrong gun panel being the worst), it appears the missing insignia on the top port-side wing is intentional. It was either not added or very faded on the real bird. ...

Re: Caliber Wings (Actual photos)

There are some rough spots on the models, but not any deal breakers to me. The gun panel gap & glove vane areas appear to be manufacturing issues as opposed to QC issues. I'm pretty sure this will...
