Re: 1/200 MANX Airlines Collection

I'd like to know as well. Have a couple 1:200s with split or disintegrating nose wheels.

Re: Custom KLM Connies

That TWA Connie is very cool. A while back I was in Munich with my dad and we took a side trip to a little air display near MUC. One of the planes was a Lufthansa Super G that you could board and...

My KLM Early 60s Fleet

The old diagonal stripes livery. Very classic.

Subtle distinction, but KLM's Electras had the rounded props. The Hobby Master gets it right.

Re: Custom KLM Connies

As an aside, I wonder if me ordering the Atlantic one in 1999 as a custom (it is now part of their regular line) caused subsequent releases to use the same registration.

Hogan, the original...

Custom KLM Connies

The first is 1:144 built from a TWA plastic model kit. The second is a 1:72 Atlantic Models with some custom work and decals.

Mike Wood did both and added lights to the smaller one.

Latest arrival is the stunning DC-4 "Rotterdam".

The L-1049G, PH-LKK "Centaurus" I flew on as a kid. I've got that plane in 1:200 Hogan and Western Models, 1:400 Aeroclassics, 1:72 Atlantic...

If it's white, small nicks you can cover them with Sharpies. The white one is actually some kind of paint.

As a kid growing up traveling to the Netherlands yearly, the old MAC livery is still one of my fondest memories of Schiphol. Glad Aeroclassics did that livery.

Re: British Airways 747-400 Retirement Confirmed

On the handful of flights to and from LAX, DLH is using A350s and the Big 747.

Before all this it was an A380, A340-642 and 747-830 every day.

Agree. They're both super awesome classics, but I'm leaning toward the AOA since it's a bit more classic--if that makes sense.
