Re: Manila folder 777-300ER — Build Log (kinda)

Thanks! Glad to be back!

As for what I've been up to, sadly nothing all that exciting... just the usual work/life stuff that seems to get in the way (and no, not working in any field remotely...

Re: Manila folder 777-300ER — Build Log (kinda)

Soooo, things have been running at a glacial pace with this project but I finally have a bit of an update—after months of work, I put together this slat test piece to make sure I'm not totally...

Re: Manila folder 777-300ER — Build Log (kinda)

I'm actually still here! Haven't built anything for a while but I've been busy designing the slats and I should have an update soon :) Realize it's an agonizing wait but I do intend to get this model...

Re: Manila folder 777-300ER — Build Log (kinda)

Thank you all so much! It's great to be back :)

The controls for the slats, flaps and spoilers (and possibly the uplock for the main gear) will be accessed through some kind of panel in the...

Re: Manila folder 777-300ER — Build Log (kinda)

I'm back to work on [this] plane! After almost exactly a year away, I'm picking up where I left off with the slats.

The slats obviously have to be completely synchronized in their deployment, and...

What have I been up to, you ask?

I've been under the radar for quite a while, as some of you noticed... I've spent about six months working on a project with Singapore Airlines, which just (finally) launched! I'll keep it short for...

Re: Manila folder 777-300ER — Build Log (kinda)

Sorry about the silence on my end. Not actually working on the 777 currently (still intend to finish), but there's some exciting stuff in the works for the fall. That's all I can really say at this...

Re: Manila folder 777-300ER — Build Log (kinda)

One last update! Tweaked the dimensions and re-assembled both sides. Fits perfectly now! I'm gonna wait to install until I have the wings mostly done, just incase I need to modify anything.

Parts...

Re: Manila folder 777-300ER — Build Log (kinda)

Thanks, guys! Really appreciate the kind words. Another quick update: I tested the piece out on the fuselage, and while the design is definitely solid, it's gonna need to be tweaked to really fit...

Well since you ask...

Got the center wingbox (mostly) done. Still have to build the other side but I think the design is solid (no pun intended). As you can see, it's a bit different than the real...

Nah, I was totally unclear in what I wrote. It's a separate project for an airline in a similar vein as this one. I'll be sure to share details as soon as I'm able to, though it may not be for a...
