To retire the A380 is one thing, but I am very surprised they will do it so soon, 2022 is only 3 years from now. I had heard AF was having maintenance issues with them, so that probably speeded up...

Yeap, the heavy lines bother me, and it also looks like the outboard engines hang down a little too low, I think they should be more flush with the lower wing.

I wouldn't call it "turbulence", but the bumpiest ride I remember was on a PSA Electra flying out of Lake Tahoe. The guy next to me was not a good flyer to begin with, and this trip didn't help him...
