Re: 1/200 b-1b wltk

Yeah if you want a cheap herpa knock-off go for it. Most collectors are waiting for a B-1 that has painted cockpit windows not the 'plexiglass' cockpit Herpa was dumb enough to do.

Serious...

Re: Unistar Sikorsky MH-53E Sea Dragon US NAVY, 72

The Flying Mule has similar CH-53's by a company called Panzerkampf. Apart from different aircraft serials, these look exactly the same as the Unistars. I'm assuming these are coming out of the same...

Re: JC Wings B777-300ER JASDF Presidential LH2JSD0

Have the Inflight 200 version. Never knew these babies are as big as a 747. Don't know which out of the IF200 or the JCW is more accurate but i'm happy with mine. Just wished the Japanese government...

Re: What are your collecting criteria for 1/200?

I'm also a mushroom but have been picked and smoked!

So please don't burn people if they've only done a few posts. Its the quality not the quantity. I fail in both aspects!

Aussiejets is hilarious, I have been collecting for 20 years and have a massive collection and just....wait for it....just 31 posts.

I prefer to read the forums and get insights. I should...

Re: Herpa Wings Tupolev Tu-160 Blackjack HE559867

Herpa should re-release the B-1 and the B-2 with painted canopies so i can throw my current models in the bin!

Re: NG Models Wish List - 757 & L1011

Just shows that the 60's and 70's were a gloriously colourful period for aircraft liveries.
Today's planes are very bland.
I don't collect civvies but agree all of these should be done for some...

I'd also like to see a good rendition of the presidential motorcade complete with Washington DC police cars, The BEAST would be a beast to have but rather small in 1:200 but still would be mint! I ...

Re: Marine One

All marine corps operated aircraft carrying the president are called "Marine One" and those operated by the USAF are "Air Force One" hence the callsign of the particular flight. So the president...

Re: Marine One

What I want to see is another Geminijets Air Force 2 Boeing C-32A (757-200). Nothing since the first one in 2008 and the Hogan that was released last year is a decent stopgap but its plastic! Ugh!

Re: Colorful Inflight200 DC-9s

Kinda off topic. Whilst admiring these lovely DC-9's i was struck by the fact, on the real things passengers sitting in the last four rows would have been incredibly close to the two engines. The...

Re: How would you transport a model with no packag

I found small boxes with foam peanuts worked for me. I had to move house and the models came out the other end unscathed and only needing a dusting off!

Yeah I've done a collection move, well half a move so far! Not for the faint hearted. I used 30 packing boxes for about 250 models and took 3 weeks just to pack them up. Quickly realised that many...

Re: WHY....No diecasts of Bell X-1 or X-15

Re: Air Canada jet almost lands on taxiway at SFO!

What about the landing approach lights at the end of the runway. Last time I checked there aren't any on taxi...

I've always wanted one and so took the plunge and pre-ordered one. Getting old waiting for Herpa to do one and then then'd probably put in some plastic cockpit windows which i think just ruins it....

Re: Hogan F117 USAF "Nighthawks" 1:200

Re: NEW RELEASE: Gemini Jets RAAF BOEING C-17 A41-213

Very nice, I already have RAAF 206 and USAF 5152. I generally try for just one of each aircraft type and feel that if you get two then you have to get them all and as RAAF has 8 C-17's that is a lot...

Re: Herpa C.160 Transall

I have one and I like it, my only gripe was the propeller dome shell doesn't rotate with the props (as it is a pin assembly) but it's a first world problem!
And those pitot antlers! Hilarious!

Re: Hobby Master HA5002 USN Grumman EA-6B Prowler VAQ-133 "Wizards", Afghanistan 2007

The grey sensor pods put me off. I can't get past how they just look out of place against the camo so i'll stick with my Gauntlets EA-6B!
