Re: Forces of Valor- reborn

This was my review of the FOV/Unimax USS Enterprise I posted on their website when it first came out years ago. I understand they're releasing it again in the Operation Enduring Freedom deployment...

Re: Hobby Master HA2816 USAF Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, 95th FS "The Boneheads" 201

In fairness to HM, they did a tremendous job with their latest outing of the Mod-Eagle F-15C. Love the greys (with blue tint under certain lighting).

Re: JC Wings 1/72 Fighters

Don't bother if its a WW copy. I'm still trying to confirm if JC Wings is WW. You're better off with a Unimax Forces of Valor if you want a low price and accurate shape.

For my money, it's...

Re: JC Wings 1/72 Fighters

I gave my Witty F-14D away after having seen and obtained the CW and even the cheaper quality but accurately-shaped Unimax. Again, shape issues. Fuselage of the Witty is way too thick around the...

Re: Calibre Wings F-14A Wolfpack

HM has an issue with quality of finish and paint job. The paint tends to wear off revealing the bare metal underneath notably where the plane is handled most, wing root edges and any other surface...

Re: Hobby Master HA2814 USAF Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, 3rd Wing, Alaska, 2014

Here are mine. Five generations of HM Raptors! The one closest (302nd) and the one in the middle (3rd FW) are the two Alaskan Raptors. The Tyndall aircraft (with open canopy) really stands out. It...

Re: Hobby Master HA2814 USAF Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, 3rd Wing, Alaska, 2014

I agree completely. That's why I got nearly all of them and spent my life savings. Ha ha. And I'm still getting the two Alaska Wing versions and another Tyndall version this year.

I also...

Re: Hobby Master HA2814 USAF Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, 3rd Wing, Alaska, 2014

I think I know where the colors and even the inspiration for the shapes of the HM F-22s are coming from. My first clue was when I discovered that the shape of HM's was directly copied from the 1/72...

Re: pictures of HM F-14

Not bad idea. I actually tried that with my Forces of Valor (Unimax) F-14 since that wasn't expensive and worth the risk. It actually worked! I broke the rudders off with a pair of plyers and...

Re: pictures of HM F-14

Yes, I'm very particular about the rudders being 90 degrees as many kit and diecast manufacturers make that awfull mistake! Each rudder should be slightly canted out about 2 degrees outward on each...

Re: Hobby Master HA4551 F-15C Eagle Operation Allied Force "Double Mig Killer"

There are two versions of the Hasegawa canopies, the single piece versions (presumably for F-15s having a single colored canopy frame) and a two-piece assembly version suitable for those with the...

Re: Hobby Master HA4551 F-15C Eagle Operation Allied Force "Double Mig Killer"

Ok, I'm not very tech savvy but I tried to attach a photo of my Witty F-15. Honestly, I prefer Witty's single seat for the reason that with the exception of the canopy, it has a more accurate nose,...

Re: Hobby Master HA4551 F-15C Eagle Operation Allied Force "Double Mig Killer"

Yes, I prefer the Oregon ANG done by Gemini Aces, which uses the same mold as Witty but w a darker shade of dark grey.

Re: Hobby Master HA4551 F-15C Eagle Operation Allied Force "Double Mig Killer"

Hi, RhinoF4. That's not a Mod Eagle paint scheme but the Compass Grey 2-tone (light and dark ghost grey) scheme. If you want the Witty mod-eagle, check out their ANG releases (one is by Gemini Ace).

Re: Hobby Master HA3818 F-16I SUFA, 107 Sqn "Knights of the Orange Tail" 2006

Seriously, I didn't expect this model coming since Witty Wings was well on its way to releasing their second version of the F-16I, the first of which I already have.

The HM release would have the...

Re: F-35 joint strike fighter 1/72

Re: witty singaore f-16 (peace carvin)

And they seem to have only the wide mouth intake which they use for all of their releases, I hope not with this one. It should be only for some block 30, block 40, and block 50 planes (not 52)....

Re: Hobby Master F-16s

Based on the pre-production photos I've seen, the Hickam F-22 isn't as good as the Tyndall. It lost the Raptor "sheen" evident in the latter and in the Nellis version. It went back to having the...

Re: F-35 joint strike fighter 1/72

I think even before Dragon or any company should do the F-35, someone should render the Rafale and Gripen in 1/72. The only late 4th gen fighter I've seen in this scale is Corgi's Eurofighter. I mean...

Re: Hobby Master F-16s

Knowing the diligence of HM, they would probably have at least one for each of the 26 nations that bought the plane. And they don't sacrifice quality for quantity. You get the best diecast F-16 model...

The F-16C Barak then, perhaps with the current upgrade of block 50 capability. But Witty did that already with the mistaked wide-mouth intake for squadron they chose.

Re: Hobby Master HA2804 F22 Raptor

Great pictures! I've also purchased the HM Tyndall F-22 from a local hobby shop the other day. Having compared it to HM's release of the F-22 based in Elmendorf AFB (HA2802) which I bought last year,...
