Re: Really getting into the 90's schemes in 1:200

The very first 757 I saw was around 1995, a Canada 3000 bird on approach into YOW. Didn't have a clue what it was at the time but took notice of its red engines and tiny wing. Don't know if you had...

Re: 1/72 Zlin duo.

Private aircraft in 1/72 are like little jewels, nice find. Might look good also with a Gemini Cessna to give them company.

Re: Flight Demonstration Teams - Collecting

Hope you find something suitable for the CT-114 Tutor (Canadian Snowbirds). No diecast or even premade model other than wood ones are available (afaik) but maybe we might hit it lucky someday soon...

Re: price difference between blank and printed JCW model

On the other hand, there are some airframes that would be nice to have in a white unbranded state, e.g., just to enjoy the lines of the aircraft. I know a buddy whose favourite aircraft is the 757,...

Re: Gemini 200 Air North, Yukon's Airline ATR 42-300, C-FVGF

Glad to see all the effort put into getting this made, resulting in having a 1/200 model available to us all. First Air North diecast in 1/200. Looking forward to some more Air North down the road...

Re: Aviation72 7242005 Swedish Air Force Saab JA37 Viggen (Camo)

The omission of cockpit is one thing, just any pics I've seen of this model show a really rough around the edges presentation. Large gaps, poor detail of parts such as gear and weapons. The one thing...

Re: Aviation72 7242005 Swedish Air Force Saab JA37 Viggen (Camo)

If I wanted a Viggen, I'd make a 1/72 kit rather than consider this with all the extra work it would require. What boggles the mind is the price they're charging for models such as this.

Re: After Super Tuesday, Americans are frantically Googling “move to Canada”

Keep in mind, your diecast purchases will cost you 1/3 more once you move up here. Due to the exchange rate and all. So weigh your options carefully ;)

Re: Does anyone like the base model of certain aircraft more than later models?

Definitely 747-100/200 over anything later. Never cared for the extended hump of the -300/400 and am likely in the minority in thinking the 747-8 is among the most ungainly contraptions out there...

This is really an unnecessary problem. Why don't they just package the gears separately permitting installation once the model is purchased. This would also avoid crooked/uneven fittings.
