Re: World Airways Fleet

I flew on the DC-10 to London and Honolulu and the B742 a few times to Europe. Worked a lot of flights with the -63, but never got to fly on one. Only KLMs.

World Airways Fleet

I've had these models for many years now, but just got around to ordering the MD11 Retro. Very smart looking model.

Re: CATHAY PACIFIC 777-300ER oneworld flaps down

I have one of each, A350-1000 House Colors; B773, Air New Zealand; and Farewell to the Queen, UAL B744.

The B744 does look nicer with those slotted flaps.

Quick and Easy Anti Collision Strobe

I got my FAA Commercial Drone License last summer. As part of the regulations, if flying during Civil Twilight or with a night waiver, you must have an anti collision strobe visible 3 miles.

Re: RIP Kobe

I did hear this morning that there were some mountain bikers who were right by the crash scene and got some video. Said it went right over them and a door landed quite near them.

Very sad indeed.

Re: RIP Kobe

Based on some more info on the news, I wonder if it was a mechanical issue. At the end he was climbing to avoid the terrain, and then suddenly diving off to the left.

Re: GJ200 A380 design change of cockpit windows

Yeah I noticed that as well on the DLH A388. Thought it was my imagination, but looking at photos, I believe the new windows are more accurate.

Re: What are your collecting criteria for 1/200?

Also I have some rare Verkuyl KLM models. And those were only done with fictitious registrations. So you'd miss out on stuff like that if you only get "real" regs.

Re: Aeroclassics janauary 2020 releases

Probably right. Just a thought on "nothing is perfect". I do have a BB Air Canada -500 (which I believe is AC) which still holds up pretty well today.

Re: A319 Spirit Airlines Silver livery!

Andrew has stated more than once he doesn't believe in antennas on the 1:400s. But interestingly enough, the DC-8s have moveable ejectors. So go figure.

IMHO the Aeroclassics is a fine rendition.
