I remember when I first bought this model, I had to do an exchange because of the exact same thing. The cracks were all over the model, kinda like a spiderweb.

Yes, I would agree with you about the humidity damage. But I'm assuming (or would rather hope) the manufacturer has their product stored inside of a building that is climate controlled.. :shrug...

The only ones I've every seen are all plastic / snap-fit models. I don't believe there has been a metal diecast version made yet. There unfortunately aren't any of these models in United livery...

Yeah, this particular model is an older one, made in 2009, with only 750 units made. AND it is the only diecast metal one in existence, if I'm not mistaken.

Actually, the one they're re-releasing in this batch is JA8912, which is the one I already have. However, I will definitely be getting JA8905 if they do decide to re-release that one...which I'm sure...
