I know he's still there - the problem is that I have to go through the US ebay site to search him. Searches for items from him yield 0 results on the ebay Australia site.

Same issue from France.
I PM him trough ebay a few weeks ago & he said he was still on ebay & renew his
sale list every month ... But now there is something weird.
Could our US fellow members can confirm seeing some items for sale via the US link, because from France the link show nothing available from the store.

His listings say he ships world wide, do you have your settings set to only items in your country?

He does not appear on ebay.au for some reason so just do a search under ebay.com instead and you will find him.

G'day All,

I just spend 52 minutes talking with e-bay to find out why several Hong Kong and Chinese sellers have disappeared from ebay.com.au as well as ebay.co.uk and several European countries as well.

Seems the problem is more wide-spread then what we thought and ebay have stated they will get back to me in the next 48 hours with a solution!

For the moment tho if you want a model from johanchan2004 or compassevilee or other dealers in China, you need to log on to 'ebay.com' and find the item then copy the item number and import that into your local ebay account. Do a search for that item and then it does come up on ebay.com.au for example. Then you can purchase that item through your country's ebay account.

Messing doesn't cover it! Seems the problem lies with these sellers setting up their accounts through ebay.com in America. Other sellers like virginfans, set up their accounts through ebay.com.hk and therefore are not affected and can trade around the world. Only those ebay accounts set up in America, but trading in China are being blocked now from appearing in other locations.

If and when I get an answer from ebay, I will post it here... stay tuned.

Personally I only ever search using Ebay.com or .UK - never really bother with .com.au if I'm searching worldwide so never noticed a problem.

Mr JC is trading well & accepting offers, 2 models from him in the past 3 weeks & just unpacked my CX 77W World City today which I landed for a great price

funnily enough, I cannot find any listings for virginfans on ebay.uk recently, but I used to. you can find individual models from them under searches, but when you click on 'sellers other items' nothing comes up. but it is a 'PITA' having to keep logging in to ebay if a model is listed in another country!!!
