In
www.diecastaircraftforum.com we are a community of devoted and excited model collectors. Often we have the need to remove or add a model which may not be found in online stores or auction websites as E-bay or toycollector.com. Yet we have found it to be available by a fellow member of this community.
During this transaction a lot can go wrong because it involves the transport from a great distance with plenty of stages. A bad transaction does NOT always have to be the intention of the other member.
As
www.diecastaircraftforum.com is in NO WAY responsible in a trade gone bad and the resolving of an issue would be a matter you have to take in your own hands, we would like to offer you a few
GUIDELINES to make this wings900 trade experience
as safe as possible.
STEP ONE
-Estimate the member by overall "appearance" in the forum. (reputation, posts etc)
Good to know but not a prerequisite as I have had GREAT transactions with members who NEVER have written a word in the forum.
-Ask for images of model and of box, to ensure the item condition prior to shipping
-When trading, prefer member
asking for the trade, to ship first as he is the one "paying" you.
STEP TWO
-On purchases
ALWAYS pay with means like PAYPAL that offer a
Resolution Centre and a
45 day period for opening a case and resolving a transaction gone wrong.
OR move your transaction over EBAY to have the
Buyer Protection. This may cost you more but you will be securely covered.
-
AVOID shipping, or have parcel shipped,
without a tracking number! Insurance is optional.
Remember: Those steps will
ONLY LIMIT the chances of you loosing a model or money as they are
not 100% tight. There are always chances the post office will loose the parcel or damage the item. There is always the chance PAYPAL or Ebay will not verdict to your favor. But at least you will have done it the safest way possible limiting the chance of a sour experience.
Happy Collecting!
