Default My Vintage Model Collection

This is an older picture of my model collection. I have since crammed a few more in there. They are mainly Topping models with a few Hyatt, Precise, and Verkuyl models.

Man, your stuff is great! Brings back day-dreaming days of my youth. I still have a letter written to me by Gene Kranz encouraging me to follow my dreams. Sometimes I wonder what may have happened if I had been more atuned to my high school studies. There are a lot of astronauts around these days!

The XB-70 is around 1/48 scale and the C-5 is 1/150 scale. I am sure there are a few 1/200 scale models in there.

No way is the XB-70 1/48 scale..it would take up the entire shelf there. I think it's most likely 1/144 or 1/100.

You are right. I was going by this website, Contractor scale models by Topping Inc., Precise Models, Rolen Plastics, Matthys Verkuyl and Raise-Up

nice collection of Topping models- those Hueys are extremely hard to find. I have a few and also two of the Hiller OH-23 Raven, both aircraft I flew in the US Army and they are special ones in my collection.

You are one lucky guy having all that - I'd happily swap most of my models in a heartbeat

It sucks that you have all those beautiful models and I don't . That's a wonderful collection, don't ever let it go.

I said it before..I'll say it again. Your collection is the stuff of dreams! In fact, it is quite inspiring. Since I work as an Air Force civilian in support of NASA at the Dryden Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB, I think that I'll do a display case in the same type of format. I have a lot of catching up to do! Cheers!

All those beautiful models, but what a jumble! You might want to invest in another shelving system, display those babies in all their glory!
