Default Air Canada 777-300 ER 1:48 floor model

The tail is not very accurate, and the Purists amongst us will fault the fact that it is a Philippines model. Now for the good news: It is a very accurate (in all other respects) AC 777-300 ER floor model! And man, is she huge. C-FITU, fin #732 is modeled in "toothpaste" livery. My Iphone lens could barely get the plane in the frame at something approaching 4 feet long, so there is PLENTY of barrel and pin-cushion distortion in my photos. Sitting here though, she looks much nicer than the pics might suggest.

An Air Canada pilot once told me that even Boeing got this tail wrong, a lot. When they would go down to the Boeing factory to pick up new planes, Air Canada almost always dinged Boeing on middling to major errors in the tail bubbles and colours... I bet the Boeing graphics guys were very happy to see the new livery, lol.

That’s a beauty! Pretty sure I have been on board C-FITU. I’ll have to check my passenger log book.

That’s a very nice model, a real beauty. The purists can always go buy a diecast, or build an Airfix kit.

Neil.

Hi Air Canada Collector,

Great looking model for sure. Almost deserves it's own hangar.

Thanks for posting the pics.
