Default PacMin BA 777 Delftblue (and other world tails)

Those of you who follow the 1:200 scale forum will know that I am fanatical about the BA World Tails. Whenever I see one in 1:100 (hopefully at a reasonable price) - I will also "go big". I managed to get this beautiful PacMin 777 in the Netherlands/Delftblue Daybreak scheme, so I grabbed the camera for a few shots, along with some of the other 1:100 BA models in my collection.

I tried against a green screen, with a goal of doing some PhotoShop edits, but clearly my PhotoShop skills need work, as I was not able to crop the image completely as you can see at the bottom. Oh well.

So - here is the new arrival, and the other world tails. There are some Union Flag and Landor models on my Flickr page. I have a Landor and BOAC 747, and a Union Flag Concorde that need to be dusted off and dragged out for pictures too.

If anyone has any 1:100 BA World Tails - especially Chelsea Rose, that they are willing to part with - please let me know.

Enjoy!

That's a steal for 1/100. The BOAC 747 that you sold me needs a little TLC. At some point during the last move, one of the engine pylons detached. No major paint damage, but I still need to glue it back. Hope you are doing well.

Some very nice ‘World Tail’ models you’ve got. The last picture looks amazing.

Robert. Like the Comet.

Thanks Neil! Starting to figure it out. This one kind of reminds of the”Five Miles Out” album cover. Old f*@ts like me may remember that one.

Very nice ! Though I prefer the Landors, I do like the World Tails also a lot, especially Poland, Scotland and USA are nice I think.
Have a large 1:50 (I think) T7 with Delftblue and if if I remember correctly also a Whale Rider 1:100 T7. If you consider Union Flag also as a World tail, there is a big 1:36 747.

Wow. I would love to see pictures of those, especially Whale Rider. I think of Union Flag only as a "World Tail" on the Concorde. Once it started to appear on the rest of the fleet, it was the beginning of the end for the rest.

You can find at least the Delft in this thread.

Not sure if I have a picture of the Whale Rider at hand...I will check.

You are welcome. I reattached the engine on the BOAC too. You can see it on my Flickr page.

Very nice models and photos. I always like the World Tails, seeing too many Landor is a bit boring to me .

Funny chap

It is weirtd, the picture was posted correct way round, but showed wrong way round. So tried to trick the system and photoshop it and turn it upside down so it will appear correctly. didnt work either. no clue whats wrong with upload.

Yes, she is lovely inddeed. But prefer the Landors.

I hate it when they fly inverted like that....

Beautiful model of Whale Rider. Looks like a Space Models example based on the engine logos and stand. Thanks for taking the time to grab a picture. If it ever needs a new home, you know who to call.....

Annoys me a lot, especially when there is now way you can turn it right.

sure But the moment still more in the mode to GET more BA's rather than parting.
Have to get that Delftblue 777 on the stand finally and another BA 737-400 in Landor colours.

Very nice. Stil searching for bigger Landors though. Like the one you have in your profile.
Best livery ever in my opinion.

Thank god my wife is still ok with it, but frankly space becomes an issue. I have actually meanwhile 4 rooms full of stuff from aviation, shipping, road and rail....plus others like stamps, coins etc.

Becomes tight.

Haha. I also collect stamps, postcards and some banknotes. My wife always think I am bad, but now I know I am certainly not the worst .
