Default An Unexpected Purchase

as some of you may know i used to collect large scale models, mostly BOAC. but sadly sold all of them years ago. but checking new items on ebay for Boac i saw this 1/100 BOAC COMET. just £120! bought it almost instantly. and here it is! stand is screw in type, and turned it that way so models angles up not down.

mmmm that's weird pics were fine last night! had a thumbnail underneath saying click here to view larger image!! on IE11 pics are huge. on CHROME they are normal size with thumbnail underneath!!! so try looking on chrome. sadly this forum's automatic size 're-sizer' is up schit creek!! like the rest of it! sad.

not quite neil. I still have the 1/150 KLM + THAI DRAGON LED 747s. and the ANA 787 LED's. took a picture of the COMET + 787 together. would like to think if comet had still been around it would have 'morphed' into the 787.

I really like the 787 nose, I like all of it really. I have a couple of the LED equipped 1/150 A380s, one Malaysian and the other is a Qatar version. Even without the lights switched on, they still look cool.

they sure do Neil. I see they have some new ones out now. you plug a USB into the base. and lights stay on all the time. instead of usual 20-30 seconds for these. and are £150-200. instead of around £70 for these.

I wonder they’ll ever do them with some external lighting, nav lights, beacons etc.

Neil.
