Default Saab 2000

One of my favourite twin props. Made by Executive Display Models in one piece to 1/50 scale. The Crossair livery looks great on it. The hand painted derails are up to the usual EDM standards and has nice white metal props. The model itself dates from 1993.

Thanks. I didn’t know about the company history ref the 2000. It’s a lovely design. I don’t think there are any 2000s carrying pax in Europe nowadays. We used to see the Eastern Airways ones over my place several times a day, very distinctive engine sound.

Neil.

Cost them a lot of money from delays, AFAIK initially was unstable, hence two strakes under the rear fuselage

I’ve read that the Pakistani Airforce uses a mix of AEW 2000s and a couple of passenger versions. So a small number are still around.
