I’ve always had an infatuation with BA’s DC10 fleet. I’ve been on the hunt for a Space Models example, simply because it represented the best example of a DC10 in BA colours. Well, earlier this week, I received something tailor-made to my requests/requirements. I ordered a model through GB Aviation Models/Ben Godlington in the BA Landor scheme. Other than the fact that Space Models would be a vintage model, I love this model made by Ben. It is to exacting detail and standards that I had hope it would be. I couldn’t be happier. It cost my £550 + £120 for shipping to the US. Steep price but when want something done to perfection, it’s hard to put a dollar figure on it. It is registered G-MULL and named “New Forest”. I’m proud to have this model in my collection. She was prominently featured as the star of the DC10 safety card.
Absolute Beauty....wish I could get a 1/36 model of this, but prefer G-BHDI, since I flew her twice. The Landor Colours fitted nicely to this plane, what an irony it survived it's competitor L1011 in the BA fleet by far.
