Default Airbus A321 3D print model

Hello!
I want to show you my work on creating the Airbus A321 model. To begin with, I decided to create a model with the Wing Tip fence and the IAE V2500 series engine, perhaps there will be versions with Sharklet and CFM56. The main idea was that owner of an FDM 3D printer could print and assemble a fairly detailed model of the aircraft. Most low-cost FDM 3D printers have a working area of at least 200x200x200 mm, so the model is created at a scale of 1:100, this will allow you to print the wing in one piece without cutting it. The minimum width of the part wall in FDM printing technology is determined by the diameter of the nozzle - usually 0.4 mm. But in order to get a strong part, it is better to make the walls in several layers, so that the edges of the wings have a thickness of at least 1.2 mm.

I use Solidworks to make a 3D model. First I create the model as a multibody part and then cut it into separate parts that can be printed

Hello!
I printed the first test IAE V2500 series engines. Structurally, the engine consists of a nacelle and the engine itself, this greatly simplifies the painting of the model. I will not paint the test model.

Hello!
I printed and assembled the first test model Airbus A321 - a model with retracted landing gear. After printing the details, I processed it a little with sandpaper and acetone. It was possible to putty and remove all the shortcomings of 3D printing, but I wanted to get the assembled model as quickly as possible. Moreover, it is test, the main thing was to check the printing technology, assemblies, sizes, whether the parts fit together. The entire assembly took no more than 2 hours. For bonding, I used acetone. Were found some problems and changes were made to the 3D model.
