Re: Question for Lintoy collectors
The Corgi Lintoy were my first aircraft collection too. It was 1978 and I was on holiday in Canada, getting there had been my first flight and we flew on a CP Air 747. To my excitement I spotted a display of these models in a WALCO store in Kingston Ontario and it included a CP Air 747. It became my No1 obejective thoughtout this holiday to track these models down as they were all sold out in that WALCO store and they wouldn't sell the display models. I managed to find them instock in a Simpsons Sears Dept store in Toronto, I picked up:-
British Airways 747
British Airways VC10
Air Canada 747
Wardair 747
CP Air 747
American Airlines DC10
Then I managed to find Air Canada L1011, DC8, 727 and DC9 in a 'Redmans Discount' Store in Sutton Ontario.
Unfortunatley years later I gave them all away to a 'Charity toy Sale' and now I keep searching for them on ebay.
