If you look at the side of the model, it shows Kiehl Hendrickson Group which was a large airline planning company (bought by Sabre). It may have been another design exercise. Regardless, I wouldn't say it makes it 'wrong' - there's lots of design exercises that change over the days/months/years.
I wish he gave more history of the model (how/what it was acquired), that'd answer some more questions.
$225 shipping is what's wrong. It will be more like 2x higher given the size of the model.
