Without discussing the beauty of these models, their antiquity and the history behind them, it will take at least two things;
-Money, lots of money for each model
-A lot of courage

Personally I would always be out, but I admire and respect the dose of "madness" of each one.

Amazing condition and collection. Seller states his grandpa was a 747 Northwest pilot and it is his collection. The DFM models are tops $2500 each. The large 720 could fetch 4k?? As to the Lockheed models if 1/50 then same as the DFM ones.
No way the prices he is asking but doesn’t hurt to ask lol
Great stuff indeed

These are sweet looking models alright but I am beginning to doubt the originality of the non-DFM examples...the Super G looks very similar to the wave of recent cast aluminum large prop scale models on ebay (seem to be the same stands). They also have the same color scheme applied although it seems to me that I have seen other "original" castings by Raise-up and Verkuyl that had different schemes for each one of these....now if I can only find those NWO model archive pics and confirm my suspicions

Interesting, I just acquired this 1/72 beauty for under $300.00 and weighs in at a whopping 12 pounds solid polished aluminum too. I am glad I did not pay $6999.00 for a similar one as this seller is asking....

The DFM are worth $2000-2500. The big 720 $3500. 727 same 2-2500 max not sure on the size for the Connie and the Electra. If 1/50 $1500-2000 if smaller then 1000-1500
His prices are on a diff planet
Great looking models for sure

I tend to agree the asking prices for these gorgeous models are way too high, however in collecting, the value of any item is determined by whatever anyone will pay for it. I'm sure we have all paid up for a model we just had to have and if the truth be told, would be embarrassed to publicly admit what we actually paid for it.

I would suggest the seller activate the "Make Offer" feature to read what buyers think about the asking prices. My read is the seller was once told by the collectors family how valuable these were and is trying to cash in. The market place can either be a cruel place or a shocking place when someone hits the buy it now button.

Personally if they really want to sell these models, re-post them all with a $1.00 opening bid and let the frenzy begin. They will do very well with 50 semi-serious bidders going at them in the first few days and then the 5 very very serious bidders pushing the values in the last 5 seconds with the auction sniping programs. Thats the only way to truly let the marketplace determine the value of any item.

Looks like they all sold! Perhaps seller made a package deal or some big shot bought them for that price? Only one person could possibly have the deep pockets to do it. Does GS ring a bell?

Does anybody still have the models which sold still on their eBay watchlist?

If someone does- please post each model's auction numbers here and I will look up the actual selling prices if the deal was completed within eBay.

I looked up the selling prices and it looks like they all went for the asking price all to the same buyer.

Some of the links are now not working but I did take screenshots of the page each link takes you.

Someone just ruined the market value by paying these crazy $$$ for these models if the sales were real. Let’s see if a feedback is left eventually
