Default Tenshodo

Here is a model you don't see everyday. A Canadian Pacific Tenshodo metal model. The model is all original except for the stand and spinners which are reproduction of the originals. The original model had propellers which I was never able to find. The stand was created from images and measurements of an original provided by a member here (many thanks!). I have only seen four of these models in all the years of collecting. I have this one and another in worse condition which I plan to restore in Cubana colors.

Very nice indeed, one of the most photogenic large prop liners ever built. I was involved for six years in the restoration of a Monarch Britannia at the Duxford museum here in the UK. Are you planning to use the delivery colours on your Cubans project? Ref the propellers on these models, I’ve always preferred just the spinners being visible on models which are in inflight config, just personal preference. Being as that model had props originally I guess it would be good to locate some. Have you tried contacting Paul Benn over here, I’ve had a few obscure cast props from him. A lovely model you have there.

Neil.

Hi car15,

It's truly a very rare model to find.

Thanks for sharing the pics.
