Default ANA FESTA Shop Haneda a Pacmin lover's dream come true

Last November I had the chance to spend some time at the amazing ANA FESTA shop at Haneda airport in Tokyo.

I had waited some time to visit this place and I was super impressed. Have never seen so many Pacmin models for sale anywhere.

Finally I got around to preparing this detailed trip report, with lots of pics:
ANA FESTA shop Haneda airport lots of Pacmins: FULL REPORT lots of pics | Henry Tenby - Classic Airline DVDs / Entrepreneur / and more

If you ever get a chance to visit, you won't be disappointed!

Great report Henry...I remember back in the day I would drop a few hundred bucks there but those days are long over for me now. It does look like the ANA shop has expanded quite a bit over the years.

It is amazing how extensive the inventory is there compared the JAL Shop. They have pulled out all the stops specially for the models.

And I am impressed that they specially commission Pacmin to make a nice range for them. Great stuff.

I also visited a few of the other known aviation shops in central Tokyo, but their selection was very minimal compared to the ANA FESTA shop at Haneda.

In either the house livery or R2-D2 livery it is a great model. I also like it in 1/144 scale too. But even that model is $500.

My pleasure Robert. I had been meaning to write this up for some time.

I was looking for this info before I left and there is not much online info.

So now it is there for the benefit of future shop visitors.

PS - I only bought the 1/72 ANA YS-11 model, which I love. If I had boat loads of money I could have spent a lot more!

Thumbs up Re: ANA FESTA Shop Haneda a Pacmin lover's dream come true

What a store. That 100 scale R2D2 is very nice,as is the B777-9. It's a good thing I don't live in the vicinity of the store. I don't think I could resist the urge to buy? Solution is to simply not open your Visa bill. Imagine the 100 scale C3PO which should be along shortly I would think.

That's it guys ... this store is very dangerous for serious model collectors.

And it is unique for the quantity and quality of the models. With exception to a few aviation shops in Europe there is nowhere else on the planet where you can find this level of models for sale.

And the fact that the store is run by an airline makes it even more incredible.

The Pacmin 1/144 747 and 787 models were both very much of interest to me. I do not believe they are the cheaper plastic wing versions that Pacmin now makes (usually priced in the $150 range). These were the full meal deal Pacmins.

I just did not have the $500 budget to get either model. The 1/100 ANA Dash 8-400 model at $200 is also very nice. And unique.

You never know with these models as you could go back and never see them available again.

It was also neat that they were selling the Boeing house livery 777-9X. But at $2000+ ...

I have a few of those ANA models including a 1/100 Pacmin 773ER but mostly 1/200 and those 1/200 models are made by both Pacmin and Hogan.
