Default Smashed 1/25 Westway DC-10 cutaway-model

What a shame... A German travel-agency is trying to sell off this smashed Westway DC-10 cutaway-model. You can pick it up for 50 Euros, which is about $70.
I can't make out an airline-livery - so I guess this model was customized at some time.

Hi 727pilot,

Thanks for the post.

I totally agree with you. It's a shame to see such historic commercial aircraft cutaway models in such said condition.

Would also guess that if someone has the resources and abilities to do a restoration of this model, it would be a long term proposition to do so.

Hopefully it will find a proper new home.

Regards, Robert

Ouch. It is tough to see what was once a beautiful object destroyed. It looks like the wings may have been clipped at one time as well.

I picked up a 1:36 cutaway Kuwait 747 from a travel agency for the same price and its nowhere near as bad as this!

This looks to be a very easy fix. Sure, one would have to re-paint the repaired areas, but who cares right since it's some absurd fantasy livery. It would be great to put it into this outfit:

Update: The model seems to have been sold - so unfortunately the ad and the pictures are no longer available.

the model just sold yesterday. it would definitely be an easy fix. or atleast those parts and stand alone were well worth the price.
