Default 1/100 Anadolujet 737-800

A nice model, complete with company box. I really like the livery on this one.

Looks lovely. The Chinese models are certainly getting a lot better....

That said you don't need to go to the gym and lift weights now.. These models do have a fair weight to them.....

Hi MSR777

Nice model.

Best of luck with it.

Have noticed over the years that these Chinese model companies, use a resin material for their models which is seems somewhat brittle. These models usually do not travel well. Always pack these with extra packing material should you ever need to transport and or ship one of these models.

Thanks so much for sharing it with the board.

Regards, Robert

Thank you both. The model does indeed have a lot of weight to it. One thing that does not help some of these models survive transit, is the fact that they are packed in rigid polystyrene boxes, with no sponge protection.

This model however, has a dense Pacmin style sponge in the box, with the appropriate space for the model to sit in, as has a recently purchased 1/100 Boeing 757-200, in the current livery. This also has a company box, and I'm sure that it is made by the same company as the Anadolujet..

Hi Robert,

I totally agree with you.

Some of these resin models made in China are really made fairly well and others, not so good at all.

Overall, I believe that resin models manufactured from company's in China, still need to work a little more on their overall quality and overall accuracy for sure.

IMHO

Hi Emirhan. I might just take you up on that! The Icelandair 757 is a nice model too. I know its not an Airbus, but occasionally a nice Boeing comes along

Hi There.

I found the model on eBay, from a UK seller. A few months later, I also got the THY version from the same seller. He was not a collector himself and these were the only two models that he had.

Here's the THY version.

Neil.

Hi Csaba, firstly, my apologies for not getting back to you sooner, I've had some illness over the last two weeks, so I've not been too much time on my computer lately, but getting back to normal now.

My partner does all my eBay buying for me, as I'm no longer able to do so. The seller was selling things from a travel agency which had closed down. There were three models, the Anodolujet 737, the Turkish 737, and an Icelandair 757. All are 1/100, were unused, and still in their boxes. He was not a model collector, and just cleared out offices of businesses that had closed, mostly desks, chairs and other office things. He had no other aircraft for sale, I surely would have bought some if he had. All three models were made in China, and are very well done, and all three came with company boxes.

Neil.
